Have you driven through American Fork Canyon in the Fall?!?! AF Canyon is the BEST PLACE for FAMILY PICTURES. You can pretty much bank on every spot you stop at to have incredible color, beautiful tree lines, and stunning sunshine. AF is the best place for family pictures, for sure. If you pair the setting with one of the most incredible people on the planet, you’ve got a match made in portrait heaven.
The Newbys had been waiting for this cool day in October since September. It was the only day their schedules aligned. As we both stepped out of our cars into the crisp air, I reminded them that only warm fuzzy thoughts could enter their minds. Afterall, this was going to be an epic evening for family portraits. Elizabeth, Eric, Natalie, Ella, Cameron, and Avery were rockstars. All of their eyes shined so bright and we even got Ella to show her pearly whites once or twice. If teens are willing to smile for an hour then mom’s are happy, right?!
Let’s start snapping!
Our first shot was in the parking lot near Mt. Timpanogos Cave. The pavement was covered in leaves and the backdrop was GOLD. My camera shutter couldn’t stop. The lighting was perfect and the Newbys couldn’t stop smiling. Especially when they hopped, skipped, and jumped hand in hand. Ha, they were good sports.
However, my favorite portraits are of the individual kiddos and their parents. Absolutely stunning! AF Canyon is the best place for family pictures because it brings out the best in one’s countenance. Natalie’s eyes, Ella’s milk honey hair, Avery’s smile, and Cameron’s curls were all exclamations of perfection. Elizabeth and Eric’s sweet dedication to their children and each other emulated through these images of love and laughter. Altogether the family radiates goodness.
Thanks for being some of my besties! Now go sit by a warm fire and sip hot cider for me.
