Beautiful Baptism Portraits – Utah

Imagine two darling young girls.  They are besties that get to wear gorgeous white dresses the same day.  Amelia and Hadley were turning eight years old and it’s time for beautiful baptism portraits in Provo, Utah.

Amelia (Love that name!)

Amelia’s mom and I were watching the weather closely.  January is a month where most people fly to Hawaii to escape the frigid air and bleak skies.  However, this January we were lucky to have a break in the stormy weather and capture a moment to cherish.  Sweet Amelia was turning eight years old that day!  Her mother made sure she had the most beautiful dress adorned with the softest sweater.  Her hair was black silk with a jewel encrusted headband.  The most endearing piece of clothing were the bunny mittens her mother gifted her.  The mittens were her little hands saving grace.  This angel was set for a gorgeous baptism portrait session.

Even though there wasn’t much foliage or greenery, the reflection pool along with the stunning hardscapes of the Provo Temple were perfect.  Finding lines, curves, and the glow of the sun for a backdrop was so much fun in this photo shoot.  And really, who can lose with such a beautiful smile, dress, and spirit about her.

I loved, loved, loved how her pictures turned out!

Hadley (Love this name!)

Just one hour prior to Amelia’s baptism portrait, I was skipping and laughing with Hadley and her mother at the Provo City Center Temple.  Her hair was pinned and curled to perfection.  Her delicate lace dress was dazzling.  Mom’s ingenuitive creation of a belt was incredible.  Adrienne even had a thermos of hot chocolate at the ready for when the little miss needed to keep the chill off.  What a thoughtful mom!

The Provo City Center Temple in Utah was a historic tabernacle that caught fire and was remodeled to become an LDS temple.  Its unique salmon colored brick was the perfect hue for Hadley’s rosy cheeks and peachy personality.  She’s also a dancer and I wanted to include some of her delicate steps and twists in our photo shoot.  After we talked and twirled for a moment, we ventured around the temple to keep our blood flowing.  I just couldn’t get enough of her little toothless smile and freckles.  She’s a natural mini model and charming inside and out.

These beautiful baptism portraits in Provo, Utah were some of my favorites thus far.  Mom’s were ready and prepared for colder temps, darling daughters, wispy white dresses, and love to last a lifetime.

Happiest of birthdays, Amelia and Hadley!  It is great to be 8.
