Look at these High School Seniors
The Spring of 2023 popped with High School Senior Pictures. Each of my graduating seniors had a flair and personality of his/her own and I loved capturing each ones character and charisma. We traveled to Salt Lake City, Daybreak, the Wasatch Foothills. The weather was perfect to accent these young adults ready to take on the world.
Triplets Take the Cake
Three high school seniors at once was no joke. Sweet Momma, Julia has raised these two boys and one girl for 18 years together through thick and thin. They each excel at any number of things such as soccer, football, baseball, and lacrosse. Haley, Rhett, and Russell have so many talents, but what I was most impressed with was their kindness and love and dedication to each other. I can only imagine having two brothers by myside since birth, sticking up for me, teasing me, and growing old with me. The Smith’s are an awesome family and I was privileged to snap a pretty sweet moment in time for them and their mom.
Danniqa Among the Wildflowers
The Spring grass was just inching its way through the ground with Spring wildflowers just on the horizon. Danniqa wanted her Senior Pictures to be filled with rolling hills, green meadows and if we were lucky, wildflowers. Tucked away in the foothills of Salt Lake lies a small swell and meadow along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Tree leaves were just budding and bursting into bright green fans for summer. Danniqa’s soft complexion and sweet smile complimented the bright and dreamy light of a fresh Spring evening. We even ran into a patch of beautiful yellow wildflowers that begged Danniqa to sit next to them and chat for awhile. This girl is incredible. She’s soft spoken and hard playing. She loves all things volley ball as Taylor Swift. Wishing her the best of times with her cousin as they take on life, post HS.
Rockstar
Rachel. She marches to the beat of her own…guitar, style, music, art, and life. This was one of the most unique and exciting High School Senior Portraits I’ve ever taken. Rachel had all her outfits carefully picked out and partially made by her. (Check out the pants in her checker vest, pink power, outfit. 🙂 Every pin, button, chain, shoe, ring, and accessory was carefully thought out and placed in her kick ass wardrobe. City Creek Shopping Center Downtown was the perfect spot to add some urban flair to this photo shoot. With high rises, store fronts, graffiti walls, and middle of the intersection snap shots, we painted the town. Seriously, Rachel was an icon for an evening of perfectly punk portraits. Eat your heart out, Cyndi Lauper.
Bella Ella
Bella Ella is her name. Straight A’s and shooting for the stars is her game. I’ve known her since she was 9 years old and was so excited to take her high school pictures this past Spring. Her mother is a dear friend and has done such an incredible job loving and supporting her children through the trials of life. All any parent wants is for their children to overcome peer pressure and rise to listen to their own hearts and tap into their incredible potential. This kind of spirit shined in Ella’s face as we strolled around the Daybreak Pond and streets to capture a this young woman’s accomplishments and stunning countenance. Love her.
Be More of Who You Are
You can find her on stage or singing a Broadway balled. Bekah makes the best out of everything. She’s witty and smart with a side of incredible beauty and love for all things theater. It was her first official photo shoot with a professional Utah photographer yet she was a natural in front of the camera. We skipped, sat, scooted, and smiled through City Creek to capture a million and one portraits of this Vogue Viewmont Viking. She is a natural Judy Garland and I loved having her mother by my side to coach her and touch up her hair and makeup. They are both such delightful and positive souls. On our last group of photos, we found the most colorful wall and on it the words “Be More of Who You Are”. Bekah is just that. Confident, kind, and build in character that kicks butt. You go girl!
