Utah Family Portrait

Fabulous Family Photos

They traveled clear from San Antonio, Texas to have me shoot their fabulous family photos.  The Gillespie’s have traveled the world from Kentucky, to Georgia, to Germany, to Colorado, to Virginia, and to San Anton.  They just happened to land in Utah for a very important person’s 50th birthday celebration.  While here much BYU football was watched as well as hikes, eats, and family fun to boot.  I was lucky enough to photograph their fabulous family photos up Mueller Park Canyon in Bountiful, Utah.  This canyon never disappoints with incredible Fall color, cozy picnic spots, and trails to hike.

Along with many other families, the Gillespies were dressed perfectly to compliment the natural fall landscape.  To begin, this beautiful family followed me down into the creek that runs through the canyon.  The creek was quite low and there was plenty of river rock to stand on even if a little uneven.  The beautiful amber aspens just glistened around and behind them.

After we balanced our way out of the creek, we hopped up to a trail, tossed a few leaves, and breathed in the crisp autumn air while snapping photos here and there.  As they walked, they smiled and laughed.  Spencer always takes the cake in acting out complete bliss with one’s family in the mountains.  LOL.

Towards the end of the Gillespie’s family photo session, the rich glow of the sun on the autumn hues was captivating.  The individual pictures of couples, kids, surrounded by creation and its light were my FAVS!  Spencer, Brooklyn, Lindsay, Tate, Savannah, Meg, and Kevin were all about fun and natural candid shots.  Spences’ faces never disappoint.  Brooklyn’s style and charisma are impeccable.  Lindsay continues to carry such a beautiful and bright glow.  Tate and Savannah, after being married for one year, look as happy and handsome as the first time I took their engagement photos.  My sister Megan and her husband Kevin, always encourage and emulate kindness, charity, and crazy character, even in front of the camera.

I love them all so much!  Pura Vida!
