Before we even made it to our first spot, to snap a few fun family portraits, the little lady said to me, “You’re the best photographer ever.” Yep, I knew I had made a friend and by the time we finished this family portrait session, I had a new ‘bestie’! I was happy that the Morley family was willing to drive to The White Pine Trailhead to take photos of their beautiful family. Little Cottonwood Canyon is the place to be on a gorgeous September evening. Sharri had the girls and her boy dressed in soft creams, khakis, rose pinks, and light blues. The color pallet was perfect for the backdrop of green and white aspens with wild shrubs and flowers.
First, we had the kiddos together tickling and giggling to loosen up their smiles. Goodies and promises of pie after the photo shoot, helped smiles and behavior as well. 🙂 We finished up a few portraits among the aspens and headed to the trails to capture the sweet and spicy of her youngest daughter. The suave smile of her handsome son was perfect. The sincere and radiant smile of her oldest daughter took the cake. I love it when I can capture that inner glow in my clients. It’s the best!
Next, we traveled down the trail to bask in that evening glow that only a forested meadow could offer. Sharri and Ryan were the center of attention as the kids laughed and squeezed in closer to tease Mom and Dad after a simple kiss. Ha, kids love that kind of stuff!
Taking photos of fun, kind, and hospitable people is always a treat for me. You can see that they love their children and they want to make time stand still for just a moment or two. I was delighted to be involved in capturing that joy they cherish.
Love you guys!
